Aegypte / Fingering Weight / Pecan Baby Alpaca Silk Hand Dyed Yarn / Ready to Ship

$40.00

Sorry, this product is sold out!

Silky and rustic - in one yarn! The unique texture of linen combined with the silky sumptuousness of baby alpaca and silk means a most amazing yarn perfect for year round knitting and wearing. Bits of linen fiber are softened by the alpaca/silk three-ply base - and the linen will soften while knitting and with repeated washings (hand only, please) and wearing.

These skeins are hand dyed in deliciously nutty glazes and layers of pale straw to deep pecan, pale birch to rich mahogany, mossy green and golden amber, with washes of greys, mochas, and espressos. You may even see tiny flecks of gold, red, teal and black throughout.

{{ Pecan > five skeins in stock, enough for a sweater }}

I use professional quality acid dyes to ensure vivid colors that will last. I take great care to dye yarn that is variegated throughout: no big pools or stripes of color. I also reskein all of my yarn after dyeing to ensure no tangles or knots.

Very soft and silky - perfect to wear next to your skin. Not itchy at all!

No two skeins are identical: if you need more than one skein for your project, be sure to alternate rows to ensure variegation.
