Chaset Sweater KIT / Hand Dyed DK Weight Yarn and Knitting Pattern

- +

The Chaset Cardigan, designed by Bonnie Dean from Chief Left Hand Knits, is a beautiful v-neck A-line sweater designed specifically for Phydeaux DK weight hand dyed yarn!

Chaset is an A-line, deep V-neck, top-down sweater, with short-row shaped shoulders and sleeve caps, 1 x 1 ribbing, and a textured triangle under the left arm. This pullover has a recommended couture option for decreasing the cross-front width compared to the cross-back width for a better fit.

The back is worked flat to the underarm. The right and left shoulder stitches are picked up, and the right and left fronts are worked to the underarms. The end of the V-neck occurs after the front and back are joined at the underarm. Therefore, Chaset is worked flat until V-neck is completed, then worked in the round from V-neck to the hem.

Finished Chest Measurements: 32 (35, 38, 41, 44, 47, 50)”/81 (89, 91, 96, 104, 112, 119, 127) cm

Bonnie Dean is the designer behind the Chaset Sweater and Switchback Shawl, as well as many other beautiful and expertly designed knitting patterns at Chief Left Hand Knits.

Bonnie decided to pursue knitwear design as an extension of her competitive and professional sewing background, and her more recent love of hand knitting.

She pursued the TKGA Master Hand Knitting Program in order to gain credentials in offering knitting patterns on a local and international basis. Becoming a TKGA Master Knitter in April 2015 was her greatest personal challenge because she was not an expert knitter at the start, nor did she have a clue about designing hand knitted apparel or accessories. As she is extremely goal oriented, she never dreamed of quitting the program before completion, which has opened amazing doors for her.
